Representatives from Norix Furniture were on hand and showcased a variety of furniture and products during the American Correctional Association’s Conference (ACA) in National Harbor, Maryland on Monday, Aug. 12 and Tuesday, Aug. 13. The event gave Norix the opportunity to meet with justice architects, detention facility designers, corrections contractors, private prison operators, facility managers and other attendees who were interested Norix product solutions.
Bill Karl, Norix Vice President of Corrections Sales, said many conversations he had with attendees indicated that correctional facility construction was increasing after a decline in the past few years.
“The message I got was that corrections work is coming back,” Karl said. “The conference was upbeat this year and everyone was talking about the work they were involved in instead of talking about the work they didn’t get, which was refreshing to hear.”
